Jagged lines on aircraft

Postby FooFighters » Mon Feb 11, 2008 2:01 pm

Hi guys.. I am new to this forum and to flightsims.

I  have a problem with FSX.
I am dutch so I don't know if this is the precise word for it.
But I have jagged lines along my plane.

Flying straight is no problem but as soon as I go up or down the horizontal line appear blocky.

I think a picture tells more then 1000 words. Check the red line on the fuselage.

My specs are AMD X2 6000+, 2GB memory, XFX 8800 GTS on win xp.
I have downloaded the latest graphic driver from the nvidia site.
I have AA on 8 (overide any application) and AF on 16. AA is enabled ingame.
My screen resolution is 1280 x 1024 x 32.

I really hope someone can help me.. it's a pretty annoying look.

:-/

Please don't link images, it slows the forums down for other users. Please upload all images to the SimV server using the Upload Images button in the blue toolbar just below the Simviation Forums logo at the top of the page.
Now what settings have you got your nVidia at?

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

You have to turn you Anistrophic Filtering and Anti-Alaising on.

AF doesn't get rid of jaggies, AA will. Can't understand why it still looks jaggy at 8X, I just have AA enabled in FS-X and no jaggies (ATI)

A guy on the Level D site told me to try nhancer.. that works great !
Now more jaggies.

For some reason a lot of people with 8800 cards have these problems.
I had AA and AF enabled with the panel but it doesn't work with FSX for some reason..

Nhancer did the trick

Sometimes it's just the repaint. Does it do the same with others?

I think there is a big difference between the first picture and this one. With this one nhancer is enabled.
