Landing Approach Help?

Landing for me is a struggle.. I'm a learner on FSX and would like to know how to land correctly EG Approach, How do i get the ATC to give me directions or give me eg turn left heading 045 instead of me landing manually thanks. What on the GPS do i select Eg Vectors or whatever?

Create an IFR flight, in the flight planner....make sure you choose IFR not GPS when creating the flight. Pick your departing and destination airports and away you go!

There's a little more to it,  just poke around and learn the set up.

IFR ! Just done that:D! First real successful flight then i completed. Marseille to Barcelona:D Haha. Thanks for your help! Anyone know where i can get any more textures for free apart from simviation

There are quite a few other "Freeware" sites out there but Simviation is honestly about the best and has most if not all the same stuff you will find at those other sites.

Speaking of scenery.....what's the 411 on those huge scenery files here, I forget the name, but it has like part 1 thru part 5, etc, etc.

Are those something worth downloading?
