He`s running XP so I doubt he has DX10 unless he has that one that pretends to be DX10, doubtful!  ;)

Most addon planes that were not created with the FSX SP2 specific tools are not compatible with this features, and the screen goes completely blank when you're in game.

so do you mean that there is no way of flying these planes in FSX with acceleration without the screen going blank?

Exactely, that's what I meant.
Of course, some freeware modelers are currently working again on their old models to make them SP2 compliant, so with a bit of patience you'll get more addon choice in the future. In the meanwhile, you'll have to disable the light bloom effect in the graphic settings of FSX.

I've contacted mIcrosoft, and amazingly they gave me several steps to iprove performance. I'll try fixing the light bloom and let you all know how it turns out.

And what is DX10?????

Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it. I've came here before with problems, and someone always seems to know some way to help.  ;)

The light bloom deal worked! My freeware planes can now be flown.
The non-SimV 150 has wierd guages, like someone on here said previously. I'm going to see if I can fix them now.
Thanks for the help!
