Just wondering, why does ATC have to be so horrible in FSX?

Because good ATC is really hard to create.
If you want real good ATC, you need real human controllers, and to get them you must fly on VATSIM/IVAO :)

Hi. A lot of times, when flying around at a heading of say 075 degrees, atc will vector me to 100 and I no sooner level out and I get sent back to 075, then back to 100, back to 075, and on and on....................

Well I was at SFO and they told me to taxi to 28R for takeoff, so I did, and I have traffic at 100%, because I like having traffic. But when I got to 28R they told me to hold short for the 737 nine miles out. Yeah, nine miles. I don't understand why they can't clear me for takeoff just because they cleared someone else to land. There's plenty of time. Soo I ended up sitting there for 20 minutes because of non-stop nine, ten and 19 mile finals. Then I just went over to 28L, where plenty of planes had taken off while I was waiting and took off without being cleared. Yeah, I'm bad.

Accepting the ATC stock approach vector is always risky - there may be issues with the approach code itself.  For example, I still haven't been able to successfully land at ktex while following atc vectoring.  I'm 5 or 6 miles out at 15,000 doing 180 knots when cleared to land.

Can someone say nose dive!  :-?

You also have a choice to choose a different runway for take-off.  If you know that 28R is busy, simply ask for 28L.
