FSX comes on DVD's

Do you have a DVD or CD player in your PC?

Not trying to be funny but the disks for FSX are DVD's and not CD's so if you do not have a DVD drive in your system you are out of luck.
Some systems do not have a DVD drive and have a combo CD/CDRW drive this is not going to read a DVD .
If you can not watch a dvd on your system then you do not have a DVD drive and can not install FSX :'(

.... or get an external DVD drive & plug it in.

.....or borrow one, copy the installation disks to harddrive, install to check it and then put the DVD drive back.  Its only a 2 minute job to temporarily install, one power lead and one data ribbon, jumper probably to slave.  Just match the settings to your CD drive, but connect the leads to this instead.  They are relatively cheap now though.

I had to buy an external dvd drive in preparation to install FSX, you can find external DVD drives as low as 30 pounds on amazon. But this of course depends where you live.
