At school they say I'm strange because i like FSX....But here I'm right at home.

I made the sonic boom that is used by the carrier ops package and many have pealed it out of that package and incorportaed it into others.

If the boom FX you are seeing really is the one I made for the F-14 carrier landing package years ago, the effect was designed for slower systems and it was designed for FS9 which is why it does not look quite right in FSX. It looks much better in FS9 on older hardware because it plays slower and gives the 'drag' illusion.

A pilot never sees or hears it

As for improving it, that would require new textures and an FX file rewrite. Its not on the top of my list of priorities right now. I dont even have time to get my lightfix finished
