SP1 and SP2 installation problem.

I've recently purchased Flight Sim X after finally moving away from FS 2004, I now consider this a premature move.

My PC has a HT 2.8 P3 processor and an average but up to date graphics card, it  can easily handle fs2004 with all the sliders dragged to the right with framerate peaking 40.
I read about FSX problems with framerate issues and I aware that microsoft was going to ammend it, so I decided to risk sacrificing the graphics to gain performance.
My first taste of FSX on my PC was a disapointment, a wrost than expected problem, low framerates of 10-15 FPS and all the sliders dragged to the left, my PC was unable to cope with what seemed to be basic graphics.

I've now taken the steps that all other FSX owners seemed to have taken.   Install SP1 and SP2

I've taken those steps, firstly re installing FSX, then downloading SP1 with disc prompts. And then installing SP2 without acceleration.

I've tried to activate FSX but I'm quicly greeted with a warning error, ' Scenery file cfg missing'.

What has happened and what do I do to repair it? :-/

Thanks :-X

Hi. I'm sure no expert, and can't tell you why it might have happened, but try inserting your fsx disc 1 and try the repair option. Lord knows, I've done it often enough.
