New beta Nvdia drivers out

nVidia have just released beta driver version 169.28. I'm testing them at the moment and find them excellent for Vista + DX9. It has fixed the graphics spikes and the sim is very smooth. I would recommend these drivers for DX9

Its been out since before xmas

You can usually find drivers you can not anywhere else, here:

http://downloads.guru3d.com/

scroll down and find the OS/driver manuafacture then click and a list will appear. They usually post the betas weeks before Nvidia

Hmmm, how did they get it? According to the nVidia website they were released only 2 days ago.

how do i know what drivers to download?

Guru3d is tied into Nvidia and ATi beta testing.. they will typically post them and Nvidia/Ati will monitor the thread for comments



and for how to find the right ones... if you dont know how, you shoiuld not be using that site to upgrade drivers


but, its based on the operating system (x64 or x32 Windows or Vista) and the higher number is the most recent but not always the best.... the term WHQL means its an official driver and not beta or it is slated to be official.

Nvidia is FORCEWARE, ATI is Catalyst
