Hi Guys

I downloaded SP2 today after installing it which went ok I then started FSX and it then tells me that my video card is no longer compatible

I am using mobile intel 945 express chip in basic toshiba a200 machine

can some please tell me what is coing on and if theres a fix..

I have since uninstalled SP2 via the control panel.

Tango,

I do not want this thread to turn into support. Please post questions in the forum and not this thread

I will answer you here this one time... you can not run Acceleration or SP2, there is no workaround, your hardware is NOT DX9, its DX8 with software hacks so you will never, ever run Acceleration or SP2 on that video adapter. It will refuse to launch the program. Sorry

Well said Nick.  It is hard on Tango but  a fact of life.  FSX will never run well, even with autogen at zero on a laptop designed to provide basic Office and web services to the travelling user.

Nick and others have said it over and over, you must have a medium to high end system with a CPU as fast as you can afford, with a video card as powerful as your pocket allows.

My underpowered laptop runs a train simulator reasonably well - but is at its peak with Solitaire.  Except the computer cheats!
