Some of your problems come from your Video card it is a little old the 7000 series would be a better choice if you have a AGP slot if you have a PCI Express slot then I would go with the 8800 series. I currently use a 7600 OC 512mb. I would suggest that you read the stickies at the top of this forum they can help you sort everything out.
Also beaware that Nvidia is struggling to keep the drivers updated for the 8800 series cards as they relased them to soon and there are some problems with them esp. using acceleration. They are updating drivers pretty much on a weekly if not a daily basis as they try to find the best driver to handle everything. Some are even using cards made by other manufactures such as ATI. 8-)

You really are missing quite a lot. Current technology can barely let FSX shine... You're trying it on 4 year old stuff.

While upgrading to a 7---- series card will help a little... you're true bottleneck is the old, single-core CPU.

Duly noted and the upgrade will occur in the new year.

However, the thrust of the questions was:

What Add ons do I need (along with the new rig)??
