SP2 and/or Acceleration

Postby Bubblehead » Mon Dec 17, 2007 2:42 pm

I have the FSX DeLuxe. Do I have SP2? What is Acceleration?  Do I have it with the Deluxe or is it a new add-on?
Also what's the best way to improve performance without too much expense?
Go from AMD 4600 to 6000?
Replace GeForce 7950GT with 8600?
Increase RAM from 1.5G to 2.0G.

Or just leave it as is until time for next mobo upgrade?

Acceleration is an add-on. If you have it you won't need SP2.
But by the sounds of things you've not got it so you'll need to download Service Pack 2 from MS ;)

add and remove programs... enable the "show updates" box, scroll down and uninstall the service pack
