I use the TweakFS cfg manager - in reality it is a shortcut to the cfg file, but with the added utility to make changes on the right hand side of the = sign. (To insert lines you need to click on the open FSX cfg and it gives the Notepad version.)
However it is quite clear that Save is only permanent when you make changes with FSX closed down. Making cfg changes on the run gives a message that the changes may be lost.
But the bank of click spots are well marked and the Save spot is clear and does work.
