In addition, if the thumbnails in the 'Select Aircaft' window don't match the aircraft:
The thumbnails are a file named 'thumbnail.jpg' found in the appropriate ..\texture*\ folder(s) within each aircrafts main folder.
If you see a 'cartoon' thumbnail for an aircraft in the 'Select Aircraft' window, then there is no 'thumbnail.jpg' in the appropriate \texture*\ folder.
If you see thumbnails that don't match, somehow they've gotten mixed up, or maybe the wrong thumbnail was included in the download.
A thumbnail can be created by cropping and resizing a screenshot of the aircraft. Default format for a thumbnail is 256x128, jpeg, file name 'thumbnail.jpg'.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
