Does SP1 come as part of the deluxe edition or must it be downloaded separately?

It depends on when you got FSX. If recently, it will have it installed. If you got it about 6 months ago, you may have to install SP1. Any later and you will have to install it. Browse to your FSX main folder, right click the FSX.exe file and click Properties. If you aren't sure if yours may include SP1 or not, click the details tab and under Product Version it should tell you whether you have SP1 on not.
