I think I remember seeing something about this on a post. But does it do anything for flight simulator? :-?

I think I remember seeing something about this on a post. But does it do anything for flight simulator? :-?

It allows you to display your aircraft using the maps generated using Google earth. It kind of neat but it is not a free service and to me  It is just not worth it. Besides I could not get it to work on my system I think it had something to do with the fact I connect to the internet through a router that has a built in firewall.

There is also an add-on which allows you to display the Google Earth pictures as your ground textures. It is known as [url="http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/tileproxy"]TileProxy[/url]

Also check out FSX-KML if interested in doing any scenery work (flattening, excludes, etc.).
