oh geeez

lol

Just so you understand

Even with every single slider MAXED and the config file edited to allow 6000 buildings and 6000 trees per cell, and, edited to allow the scenery radius to increase to 10+ miles, you ARE NOT getting 100% FSX ability... not even close

The software will not allow you to see everything because the hardware to do that as of now does not exist.

The X38 chipsets are out now and the new AMD/Nvidia motherboards and cards will be out early next year.. even with those you can expect another year or two befor FSX can be run as I listed above and the hardware allow you to see everything in a playable environment

I have scenery sliders set to max, but I had to tune down the sliders for the AI and weather. ::)

Not all sliders such as ground, water and air traffic and clouds on 60mile restrictions... With DX10 and Vista water and bloom will still give you a hit

For the most part you will be able to run very high, but not maxed, and you can still expect to see a few performance hick-ups here and there.

The Ultra card is already maxed out so do not expect much clocking from it.

With FSX the CPU will have as much if not more influence on what you get than the VC but you still need the better VC.

Make sure what you buy in motherboard you can upgrade the CPU next year with full support. You will need a P35 or X38 chipset to do so and I am hearing some tech talk from the Intel camp -full- Nehalem support will only be possible with x38 and above although the P35 will run it
