just go to fsinsider.com and look around.  at some point, there'll be a piiciture of a guy, on the top banner type place looking down on the text (sort of).  THats him too...

Nice vids richardd43, thanks...

btw, the 8 monitors is actually being done by CrossfireX or something like that.  I read about quite a bit earlier on, but I didn't realise what they were demostrating.

Well, I have never been to FSInsider.com...LOL...Partly because what happens in the FSX world is of no concern to me yet...When I make the god-forsaken switch sometime in the near future, perhaps I'll need to refer to the site, perhaps not...We shall see... ;D ;)

FSX can run on 256 cores?!? That's amazing. If FSX running on 8 cores is that smooth just think about 256.  :o

Even better, Imagine how old and silly FSX will look in 2018.
I wouldn't be suprised to see 100% photorealistic worlds (possibly in 3d even) by then. Mabey even with google earth type accuracy of building appearance and placement.
Anyone want to fly over an exact copy of your house?
Todays computers won't be anything compared to machines to come.  ;D

LOL...It'll be funny laugh at how system friendly FSX was... ;D ;D ;D

Wait, I've read here about this CrossX thing. Is that the program or software (???) that would allow a certain system or view point to show up on each of the different monitors? I tried out Triplehead-2-Go last year and was disappointed. Their instruction manual, basically said plug everything in, set resolution to 800X600 and have fun. I don't know whether it was my pc or something else, but out about 48 hours of work on the system, I got almost five minutes of use out of it. After all that, I just sent it back. I am still interested in trying to build a system like that, but I'll make sure I do a whole lot more homework before I do anything next time. Is the CrossX thing new? Thanx. Semper Fi, Dave

Well, I'm not 100% sure but I think CrossX is a driver application that allows you to run all four boards in quad mode.

With a standard PCI-E SLI or Crossfire board with 2 graphics cards installed you can run 4 monitors and have a different application on each monitor.
