SP2 and/or Acceleration input needed..

Postby Brett_Henderson » Mon Oct 29, 2007 10:50 am

Howdy...

I'm getting into the tricky, texturing part of an FSX only model ...

Have any of you run my C177RG on SP2 and/or Acceleration yet ?

Any issues ?  I'm going to wait for input before I go any further..

THANKS  :)

I am not 100% positive, mabey 98%, that your 177rg was one of the ones that I looked at briefly to see if the textures showed up, and I am happy to report that I believe they did.  I did not fly it however.
If no-one beats me to it, I'll take a closer look tonite and post here tommorow.
It better work, I much prefer RG to fixed... ;) ;D

I just downloaded your AC and run a quick 10 minute flight out of LAX and had no problems at all. The textures looked good and the overall flight characteristics were very good. Hands off flight was easily achieved with very little trim required.

Am not sure what type of input you are looking for but your airplane seems to be very functional with Accereration installed.

I hooked up my CH pedals but used the X52 (minus rudder control) for the flight with no problem.

Brett; what is the path to your RG - I'd like to try it, pre-Acceleration.  I am getting the latter but there are so many horror stories that I am more than a little cautious about installing it.  I run some really good FSD and Carenado aircraft and I would hate to lose them.

There's only ten pages in the FSX props section, but a quick search located it on Page nine:

Gotta love the search tool... ;)

Back with the results, and everything checks 5 by 5.
First to clarify, I flew cardinal tail number N177MJ (green and white), not one out of a magazine, in case it makes a difference.
Flew it under DX10 with no problems that I can tell with Textures or otherwise.  ;D
Congrats on having one of the few 100% working addons on my sim at the moment...lol

LOL, I had that happen before, but not with this plane.  Annoying isn't it? ::)

richardd43..  That is a common problem with older video cards..  animated parts get tossed all over the place.. even with default aircraft...

Is my Cardinal the only one that does it ?

I had just loaded the Sim back on my computer when Acceleration came out and have not been flying for a while. When I first tried to fly one of the new P-51s it did the same thing.

Your AC did it right after I opened then closed the map.

My guess is it was a glitch with my computer and not your AC. It did it once and I have put a couple of hours on the plane with no further problems.

I do remember having problems with the square clouds before, was one reason I quit useing the sim.

I am just waiting to see what new video cards come out and will probably upgrade after the first of the year, or go back to XP so I can use both of my 7950 GX2s. I never had a problem with the sim when running them in quad mode.
