FSX Acceleration Problem w/ Carrier Ops

Postby buck292 » Wed Nov 14, 2007 2:36 pm

I installed FSX Acceleration recently and the carrier ops worked fine initially but now I can't get the hook, landing bar or catapult functions to work.

Help!

Any ideas?

Thanks

The catapult launch is a pain to get to work. What you need to do until you get the feel for it is taxi the aircraft in spot view. Now you will notice at the begging of each catapult there is a red and white square. You need you nose gear to be within that square, lined up with the catapult. Hit Shift+U to lower the bar, Shift+I to lock onto the catapult. If done correctly you'll see a blast shield raise behind the aircraft and a message saying you're on. Now put the throttle to halfway (Max military power) and hit Shift+Spacebar to launch. If you can't get it to lock, then you may not be in the right position. As I said, it can be nasty. To lower the tail-hook to land you press Shift+Q and make sure you touch the deck right on the cables. Also make sure that the key commands are mapped correctly in the key assignments.

Double check your key assignments in the "Controls", "Buttons and Keys"  via the menu bar.

Make sure there are keystrokes still assigned the those functions.
