Differences between FSX and FS9

I am thinking about getting myself FSX for Christmas. What are the advantages/disadvantages of FSX over FS9? Are the graphics better or worse? Flight models? Better scenery? Also, does FSX have a Reno air racing function/mod?

If your computer can handle it.. FSX is considerably more simulator than FS9. Better graphics, better texturing, better flight dynamics, better virtual cockpit, more features, default planes better than most payware (especially the Beaver.. but the KingAir, Baron and Caravan are much more detailed than

I have a 2.13ghz 6420 Core 2 Duo, 2 gb DDR at 667mhz (i think), nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS, SB X-Fi, DVD-RAM, Dell 22" flat screen LCD.

FsX is far better than fs9 in almost all areas. That being said, MOST people will find a heavily payware modded fs9 better than fsX.
