Hi !

I just downloaded SDK SP1A, but the .exe won't start :( Anybody met with this problem ?
I've tried download from different websites, save it to different hard drives, but I can't install it.
I have SP1 installed.

What's happening when you click on the .exe? Nothing (like the computer just sits there)? Error message?

Sometimes when you download files and such from the internet they can become "corrupted". Now, "Corrupted" sounds very ominous like "virus". In this case, that's not what I mean by "corrupted".

During the download process (as your computer tranfers the contents of the file/folder/program you're downloading) it become corrupted with pieces of that file/folder/program missing information. This is what I mean by "corrupted".

I've experienced corrupted programs a handful of times when I've downloaded programs from the internet, including simple patches. It's just something that happens sometimes. Think of it as a "hiccup". :D

The only solution to a corrupted file/folder/program is to redownload.

So, in short, try redownloading.

hmm....interesting. I'll tell you what. I still need to download SP1A for FSX. I'll have an oppertunity to sometime this weekend. Look back here on monday for an update from me. I'll see if I have any problems.

I assume you're just running FSX  SP1 correct?

Thankyou!

Yes, SP1  worked fine. Today I wanted to continue my new project, but when I convert the X file to MDL, I get a lots of error messages and the visual model does not appear in FSX....I'm working since ~1 months on it and converting worked fine....until today. So that's why I liked to install SP1A, maybe there's a bug somewhere.

try downloading it with a different browser, or try IDM.  It has a month long demo.  Other than that, I can't help you (not saying this necessarily will)

My two Cents  ;D

:D   I tried to re-install SDK SP1a and the same happened to me.  But....About a full minute after I clicked to install it the Install wizard finally appeared and everything went peachy.

Yesterday I located the problem : one of the parts (start_button) had a bad setting (attachpoint or anim, I don't know). I deleted these settings from the part, and now it is okay :)
