i have alot of planes including the f-18 f-15 f-117 and the harrier but i cant break the sound barrier.....can anyone tell me how?

The F117 is sub sonic ..... so no use trying that one.

I am not sure about those AC, but here is a link to the F-14D for FSX...i have this AC in my hanger and it does break the sound barrier...http://www.simviation.com/members/fsxmilitary9.htm

when it breaks the sound barrier it has the sonic boom and shows the sound waves.

not all aircraft will show a vapor cloud or sonic boom when breaking the sound barrier, just depends on the amount of detail the author of the addon went into...

If they are modeled correct, both the f15, and the f-18 should be able to do it.
Not sure why your not able to. Should be able to step on the gas and go in level flight.
