The gauges go in the gauges folder and the effects go in the effects folder. Everything else goes in the aircraft folder in the SimObjects/Airplanes folder.

COLINS WIsdom
Once every so often I get a brain wave and here it is for all you fsx lovers and users who struggle to add aircrfat

DRUM ROLE
go to http://www.flywestwind.com/Hangar/aircr ... &fleet=All

All thos aircrfta have auto installers I think like there fs2004 counterparts it make sit a lot easier and they have most of the big fsx freeware releases I think with brilliant cockpits like the fs2004 ones. I dont have fsx but  thats what i honestly think.

So Colins wisdom download fsx from
http://www.flywestwind.com/Hangar/aircr ... &fleet=All

Yes. Auto installers are great. Until they install over your existing files without permission, i.e: FS9/X un/installer.

James' Wisdom: Never trust an auto installer, unless it is from a well known developer/publisher, e.g Captain Sim or Just Flight.

Somebodys has bad experience. Ive got these and you can uninstall them with ease and ive uninstalled my fs and it uninstalls everything. It has never over written any files as it comes up do you wish to overwirte this excisting file. It has asked few times and it does ask and I always say no. It never effects the plane.

They speak from years of experience. Listen to what they say.

PS. Treat ALL auto-installers with suspicion. Very few are configured correctly. Ignore all instructions/advice to extract zipfiles direct to the sim.

True Hagar but im not talking about winzip autoinstallers im talking about payware autoinstallers that the people have paid for and the autoinstallers I direct you too cant be bad as the whole of westwind VA use them and they are 10 or more years old are they not they have the experience. The aircraft are freeware.

Suit yourself. I was referring to freeware auto-install programs. There are several types commonly used by freeware developers including the WinZip self-extracting zipfiles & the ClickTeam Install Creator. A large percentage of these files that I've tried are incorrectly configured & obviously haven't been properly tested before being unleashed on an unwitting public. I would naturally expect payware installers to work faultlessly.

Im talking about the clickteam they do free and pay versions the VA releases them as freeware aircrfat they pay for the auto installers. They are correct. ANd yes many are bad but I have many good ones and very few I have used are actually bad infact none the only ones I refuse to use is winzip autoinstaller.

I would have to ask why. They all work in exactly the same way. I have many years of experience with configuring files for posting both for myself & other developers. Of the available auto-installers I actually prefer the WinZip self-extractors.

Payware for organisations such as microsoft freeware for non profit or freeware material. I dont like the winzip as it managed to successfully uninstall my OS when I was installing something.
