Call Sign Question

Postby Deviant » Fri Aug 31, 2007 6:36 am

I'm having a problem with atc in FSX recognizing some call signs for a few of my airliners.  The call signs are "Speedbird" for Brittish Airways, "Relax" for Sky Europe, "CSA Lines" for Czech Airlines, and "Slovakia" for Air Slovakia.  I'm sure the last three airlines probably aren't recognized because they are not common airlines, but Speedbird?  BA is probably one of the most common in Europe.  It recognizes "Orange" for Air Holland (Go Figure).

I have the callsigns exactly as follows in my aircraft cfg:

atc_airline=Speedbird
atc_airline=Relax
atc_airline=CSA Lines
atc_airline=Slovakia

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, one more thing.  I've been looking all over for a list of call signs that FSX recognizes, but can't find one.  Are there any around?

This problem was solved in FS2004 by using a program called EDIT VOICEPACK but I am not sure if they have a version for FSX. However I did find this link that might be of help to you

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Just like in FS2004, the default airlines.cfg file only lists a few of the names that ATC can use (recognize), mostly the

Dave,

I tried that link for the EditVoicePack for FSX, downloaded it and it works great.  The CTP is still in development but what they've done so far is good.  Thanks again.
