I have downloaded SP1 twice and everytime I have done so my computer crases the game of I can't see the game at all.

I would help alot if you could also add your system specs for people to help  ;)

You have to uninstall FSX completely and do a fresh reistall of FSX before you install SP1. Uninstall SP1, uninstall FSX, reinstall FSX and then reinstall SP1...see if that helps.
