Add-on A/C for FSX

Postby randyjohnson » Fri Aug 24, 2007 7:36 am

Hello everyone,

I have FSX...and I downloaded the A/C Installer utility ADDIT-PRO...and for the life of me...I can't get the A/C to show up in FSX.  They show up in the ADDITPro section.  I download the A/C from Simviation directly to ADDIT PRO....then I select INSTALL ADD ON..and follow the prompts.  It appears everything goes they way it should..but they do not show up in FSX.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, what Gary said.  :) Oh, and welcome to SimV.

The big problem with add on managers is they don't always work as they are supposed to because not all add on aircraft are exactly the same. Managers can usually install aircraft OK but if there's an extra step in the installation that is unusual the managers can't adapt and you get incorrectly installed aircraft. What's even worse however is you don't know what was installed where so when a manager install screws up your FSX installation you are going to have a problem undoing the install. Much better to install by hand and know what files went where and exactly how to remove them.
