When installing new aircraft it seems to be hit or miss as to whether I get the small preview picture of aircraft in the aircraft listing window. The main window that the aircraft appears in before I start a flight is fine. Anyone got any ideas.

Thanks

Matt

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

FS9 aircraft won't have the little picture thingy only FSX aircraft will.

But there is a program on SimV to make the thumbnails (as their called)

You can create the 'thumbnail' for each aircraft/texture that doesn't have one.

As mentioned there is a download named 'Autothumbnail V2' in the FSX Utilities download page.

Else: Crop/resize a screenshot of the ac and save as a 256x128 jpeg image named 'thumbnail.jpg' in the aircrafts corresponding 'texture' folder.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks for the help. Without a thumbnail the list just looks very untidy.
