MD-83 Question

Postby Deviant » Sun Jul 29, 2007 7:58 am

Hello,

I made the MD-83 for FSX flyable by adding a panel.  The only problem I'm having is turning while taxing.  The aircraft makes unrealistically wide turns.  Does anyone know what file to change so that the plane will make sharper turns when I taxi?  Anyone else notice this?  Thanks in advance.

wouldn't you be better off downloading a specific MD-83 made from scratch to be flyable?

(Having said that, I'm also guilty of converting one of the AI models)

Open the MD-80's 'aircraft.cfg' file with Notepad and find;

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Dave,

I appreciate the help.  I changed the contact point to 46.8, as it is in the CRJ700 and this seems to work great.  Thanks for taking the time.
