ok so you booted FSX, went to CONTROLS under OTHER SETTINGS and for EACH of the 3 TABS you clicked RESET DEFAULTS, also, under the CONTROLLER TYPE dropdown there will be MOUSE YOKE and MOUSE LOOK and you set them all (under all 3 tabs) to MOUSE YOKE -RESET DEFAUTS -and MOUSE LOOK - RESET DEFAULTS
If you have done that and still have no control I am at a loss to understand why unless some type of add-on has grabbed control.
Another test would be to move the current FSX.cfg file to a safe place and allow FSX to build a new one at boot, then set up the sliders as you had it and see if that repairs the problem. If so, then something in the old config file got changed and is not allowing a reset.
