Postby Digitalchaos » Tue Jul 17, 2007 4:35 pm

Hi....

I tried to search for such a topic but the search engine is pretty limited so I could find much .

My question is how can I get a wing view but not the one where you get by default which is seeing the wing from the pilot's view. I want to see it passenger view. i have made alot of changes in my config files, but didnt really work !! :S

I would really really appreciate it if someone could tell me how. as I have been searching for this for a long time now!!

thanks abunch in advance for any help offered :-)

Use the 'move eyepoint' keys to move about in the VC

Forward/back=(Ctrl+Ent/Bkspc)
Left/right=(Ctrl+Shft+Ent/Bkspc)
Up/Down=(Shft+Ent/Bkspc)

(Ctrl+Space) reverts to the default for that view.

Once you move the eyepoint it will be retained until you revert it or change ac or end flight.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Look for the ATR-72 (or 42?? I can't remember which). That plane has a VC and a modeled VC interior. It's for fs9 but it works fine in FSX.

Use the camera definitions...have a look at some of the default FSX aircraft to get
the basic format.

I use camera definitions and mapped/assigned keys to allow me to "move"
about the VC with a flick of my thumb on my X-45's #2 hat switch.

This new camera system is what caused our former 2D side/rear/diagonal
view BMP's to go away so you might as well get some use from it...

Thnx man :) Dave's method worked well!! u dnt know for how long i have been struggling to get that view!! I only had one aircraft (Emirates A330) designed with default view to show the wing when i press num 6 or 4. but that was for fs9 and so it was gone with FSX. !! but now i got it back :D hehe thnx a million for all the help .

This is a great forum indeed :)
