Acceleration Expansion Pack ??

I just came across this news on a French news site:

Looks like a new expansion pack is coming out... is it the same as Adrenalyne Pack ? They state the pack will use DirectX 10, and will bring some new planes like the Mustang and the F-18 Hornet ! Some screens are included, the quality of the autogen is a bit impressive, I have to say  :o

Oh well, "going military" is a bit exagerated...
"master switch on, I've got tone!" may be exiting for you, personnaly I'm more interested in the simple fact of flying such a great airplane. not for the destruction power or whatever, but just for the flight.

Knowing Microsoft, this plane will, as usual, have only battery and lights switchs in the VC, as usual...

No no, you misunderstand me, although it is my fault for not stating myself clearly. I wouldn't really like power and destruction in MSFS, but its just exciting since Microsoft have never produced a military plane for this civillian simulator. Ever.

i think the F/A-18 is MS's way of saying:  "We might do a CFS 4..."  that would be so cool!  CFS4, with modern day warfare and stuff.

btw, the F/A-18 looks good in that shot.  id take away the shinyness from the engine's nozzles, because then, unless they just turned off self-shadowing, it will look weird.

also, can anyone say, 'Carrier Ops'?

Tweek, you are right about the Sopwith. But the F4U Corsair was added to FS2002 as a bonus from CFS2.

Surely this is Adrenaline which has already been announced.

Also ACES have said that they are going to build a Train Simulator incorporating the scenery engine from FSX.

Frankly there would be nothing stopping them using the engine for a ship or yacht simulator,  car trials and rallies and the like.

Why not?   In fact we may get further surreptitious updates as they are forced to improve the scenery for these uses.
