??? Annoying Box

For the past few months while playing around, I noticed a new box that pops up while the sim is loading.

That means there is a scenery.cfg error.... usually caused when the sim tries to load scenery which doesn't exist. You must of deleted an addon while it is still in scenery.cfg.
Go into your Flight Simulator main folder... find scenery.cfg... make a backup of it... then open the original and remove the text from [Area.115] till the Start of [Area.116]. Save. Test.

Go into the Addon Scenery folder and see if you have a Scenery and a Texture folder, not within another folder but directly within the addon folder.  If not, then create them and place your addons inside.  Problem should now be sorted......

This must be common place as I had mine immediately on install - exactly  the same error message.  ::) - without any addons......

I think this should be put into the FAQ if so many people experienced this glitch.

To tell the truth, I have no scenery addons installed.  I think the error message started when I upgraded to Windows Vista (Home Premium).  Thanks for the help though, I will look into it.

It doesn`t matter if you have add ons or not with this error.  Just place two empty folders in the addon scenery folder.

and it should be sorted..... its a glitch, sometimes, only sometimes, caused by add ons.

Yea i had this problem too i just reinstalled FSX
