Here are some really good aircraft addons:

1. The PAD learjet 60 package. It's a great aircraft with good exterior and interior models, not to mention it has a VC ;)

http://www.simviation.com/fsxjets5.htm

2. The Piper PA-28 R 201 Arrow Package by Hauke Keitel. It's a real fun to fly and it has a VC also.

http://www.simviation.com/fsxprops6.htm

3. The F-14 Tomcat package. It's a hassle to download, but it's an awesome aircraft. Get it here:

http://www.simviation.com/fsxmilitary4.htm

4. Now this one's my favorite. The AH-64 Apache by Tom Woods and Mark Adams. Awesome model and VC, and it even comes with Hellfire and chaingun effects.

These are my recommendations. Hope you like 'em :)

You really aren`t going to believe this is free.  Its a Cessna CL150, you use the mouse to open the doors by touching the doors themselves, same with the hinged windows and the sun visors.  The engine bonnet pops off to reveal the engine, the oil filler inspection hatch opens.  You can get rid of the wheel cowls and put them back as you wish, it also has a wheel chock.  It has an instructor but you can get rid of him, I do.  You can cover and uncover the pitot tube.  Change the speed gauge temporarily to a clear readout.  Turn the engine on/off by a sliding motion of the mouse on the ignition keys (drag).  It climbs to a ceiling height of 12,500 though I only managed 12,200 so far and it holds enough fuel to do 500nm.

It has a clipboard you can click and carry out the above and more besides.  I added a Garmin 500 to mine, instead of the default 295.  I also added a radio panel which allows it to follow the sat/nav when I`m feeling lazy-I had to utilise a GPS/NAV selector on the keyboard to achieve this.

Haven`t got the link now but either Simviation or Avsim do a Spitfire and a Chinook that are really well worth having.  I opened the rear door of the Chinook and got right inside by deft use of the mouse.  It handles really well too and all the other doors open.  The Appache as above in another post is absolutely brilliant, had this sometime.  Another two to look out for are the Concorde and the Harrier Jump Jet, also free.

I had that one just briefly. Made some screenshots with it, but it has a broken compass. Got tired of the Flying tip Ctrl +D flashing on my screen so I got rid of it. The 2004 Bell 47 helicopter has the same problem. It's a shame too - one of the better ones to control in flight.

If you are into vintage twins, I definately recomend the "Aero Commander 500" (with Virtuasl Cockpit).
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004props16.htm

It was originally developped for FS, but it works perfectly in FSX. The VC is great even by FSX standards.
It's a gem from FS9 that's equally at home with FSX.

If you like "low and slow" flying, i definitely recommend getting the DH-89a Dragon Rapide plane.

For my screenshots of this plane click HERE

Also there are two others that i would like two recommend (they are made for FS2004 but works great in FSX)

They are Junkers JU-52 and Bucker-131

For my screenshots of JU-52 click HERE

If you are in to flying the heavies, Level-D simulation has a 767 that will make your jaw drop. Very expensive ($54.95) but the quality on a scale of 1 - 10.....at least a 11 or 12.

I really like the BAe Systems Goshawk by DSB Designs and Daisuke's F/A-18, both of which have been formated for FSX

Do you guys know how to get the hellfire and chaingun effects to work?  I could deal with the compass.

There's a button on the right-hand side of the panel that has the lights, nav, and guns I think.
