Downloaded aircraft(how to make them work)

Postby do-tha-tom-man » Wed Jul 04, 2007 7:11 pm

After search high and low for some FSX addons i found them and the only problem from stopping me from using them is knowing how to get them on to FSX the addon is the ALPHA SR-71A Blackbird. Has anyone got any idea how to make it work.

Thanks

The readme supplied with the add-on should usually contain installation instructions...

Generally it is a good idea to treat what you read in the 'Readme' with a pinch of salt ... (it's  very often wrong..)

The install of FS aircraft into FSX is basically the same as it has always been in previous FS series except in FSX the destination folder is \simobjects\airplanes\

After unzipping  -- look for the folder with the subfolders -Model-Sound-Textures-Panel & the aircraft.cfg, This is the key folder that needs to be moved to the FS aircraft folder (\simobjects\airplanes\)

See this (soon to be updated for a specific FSX tutorial) http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm
