The Twelve Bugs of FSX

For the first bug of FSX PTaylor said to me

See if they can do it again.

For the third bug of FSX, PTaylor said to me
        Try to reproduce it
Ask them how they did it and
See if they can do it again.

For the fourth bug of FSX, PTaylor said to me
        Run with the debugger
        Try to reproduce it
Ask them how they did it and
See if they can do it again.

For the fifth bug of FSX, PTaylor said to me
        Ask for a dump
        Run with the debugger

        Try to reproduce it
Ask them how they did it and
See if they can do it again.

        Say they need an upgrade
        Reinstall the software
        Ask for a dump
        Run with the debugger

Reading all of this made me worrie very much about FSX on my system but it runs more than fine. Seems like it's a case of deal with the fact that it is a very advanced piece of software that is a bit ahead of its time. Get up and go outside!  :D

You going to talk, or drink?

It's best not drink before tweaking FSX. Very expensive hardware could attempt to fly in that process, or the DVD's may become corrupted after zipping out a window under high velocity and spin force

Don't worry, when plugged in, the laptop never shuts down anything for power saving. ;)

In fact, it doesn't even have to be

I did something stupid and reinstalled everything

I never should have done it

Now I get stutters that come and go on the same settings that were completely and totally smooth. The only way I have been able fix that (for the most part) is to set [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=1 on my dual core

What good is Buildings and Trees at both 6000 at 20 FPS with "very dense" if it's concentrated densely in a small circle around your aircraft?

Default FSX landclass looks awful, but with add-on landclass, it's even worse.

This is about it, I'm going back to retail. Or install TileProxy. Or both.

Stupid patch. They should have put a warning in it: "Only for people with simple needs & PCs".  ::)

Ah, the good stuff!

You know what?
Let's just bust open the SP1 installer and search for what enables dual core functionality. Install only that and done.

What else would we need anyways?

Thats just it, I think NickN is right and the dual core use is a bunch of hot air. If I can shut down 1 core and have my FR increase and stutters go away on the same settings, WTF is dual core support doing for me anyway?

bURP!
