Would I be able to use my default 747 virtual cockpit in another plane? If so, how?  :-?

You can swap interior models and either re-name them, or edit the model.cfg file. The problem arises when the model-origin/eye-point and references points aren't consistent. Even after editing the aircraft.cfg file, you can end up with a nice VC that has the pilots looking out over the wings  ::)

Try it and see.. I'm sure some will match up well.  I tried adding the 737 VC to the AI MD-83 after making it flyable. It didn't work out well .. lol

The only remote way this might work would be if the plane you put it in is exactly the same demisions as the orignal. The reason why is the VC is designed at the time of aircraft creation and all of the view points are made from one place and each view has to come from that exact spot example say the left view might be say 10 degrees to the left and down 5 degress Now mind you this is just a rough guess and is not the exact way a VC is made just something to give you a idea as to what you have to do to make a vc. This is one of the reasons why alot of freeware aircraft do not have a VC is there is a lot of math involved as you have to know all of the cordinates of each point and getting them right can be a real task for some people.
This is why you should appreciate those who can make a descent VC as it really is a lot of work involed. 8-)

They don't have to be exact. They've just got to be reasonably close. The interior model doesn't have to match up exactly with the exterior, because the interior model is all that you see when in the VC.

If you take an interior model from one plane and swap it (or add it (one of the reasons that the

You can build your own VC, and customize the panel for each plane.. and then just keep adjusting the model's origin until it's in the right place.

Maybe we need a universal VC source file for download ? Even for those not adept in modeling... you could just "move" the whole interior model and then recompile it..
