Miltestpilot. I just want to say thanks.
Once I followed your instructions exactly it all came together and the OOM hangs or crashes have now stopped.
The lessons for Vista users are two:
You right click on the command prompt line (or icon) in accessories to get 'run as administrator', then click that. Do not open the command prompt box then right click, as the 'run as administrator' does not appear.
Second: once the command prompt is open: copy exactly complete with spaces the line to the prompt. I found the only real way was to copy and paste from Miltestpilot's post on the previous page. After which you get great satisfaction from the command prompt saying the process was successful. Never have I been so chuffed by a computer saying I'd 'done good'.
I found this process worked, whereas I could not make the alternative 3gb enabler succeed.
