Animals and birds in FSX

Can anyone say if it is possible in FSX to simulate the invasion of hares at Milano Malpensa?
The airport was closed for 3 hours yesterday in an attempt to capture at least 500 hares that were roaming all over the airport getting into undercarriage bays engines etc etc!!!!

Visually, it is possible, but not by default.
By default, there are no hares in FSX, but because FSX supports animal "traffic", it is possible to model a hare and add some AI traffic for them to cross an airport.

However:
- most likely the control tower would not react, I think it would ignore this kind of "traffic". I'm not 100% sure though.
- 500 hares displayed on your screen would put a CPU down to his knees

Another possibility is a mission, there one could define some events linked to the presence of hares on the airport area, but it would just be a mission, not free flight, so no AI traffic, etc...

I suspect that Volo's tongue-in-cheek post was just to create a comical response....;)...!

Well, comical answer or not, I would personnaly be very interested in such a feature, I mean airport traffic troubles because of wild life interferences.
It happened to me too, some years ago while waiting to land at Strasbourg in France, we were delayed for several minutes because a roe-deer was spotted next to the runway, but lost because of the dense fog that day...

It would be great to simulate bird strikes etc. But I have to say that the clip shown on RAI Uno telegiornale last night was hilarious!!!!
It would be a good "mission" to clear the hares from the rwy before take off!!!!

Just ignore them and you'll get fried hares, mashed hares, split hares...etc..

I always inspect my plane prior to flight, make sure there are no hare line cracks  ;)
