Sounds

Postby RitterKreuz » Mon Jun 11, 2007 12:55 pm

I have updated to the latest drivers and i have been having this problem for a while.

While in the cockpit view i will bring the throttle all the way to idle and the engine will correctly sound as if running at idle speed, BUT...

when i switch to outside view, the engine has two sounds... one sound is as if it is running at idle the other sound is running on top of the idle sound and it sounds like the engine is at about 50% throttle and i have made no throttle adjustments.

so far the only way i have found to correct this overlapping of sounds is to advance to nearly full throttle and the engine sounds change to full throttle and then i bring it back to idle and it works fine... until i switch views back to VC and then back to external view the sound problem is back again.

so to recap

1. In VC mode bring throttle to idle, engine sounds like its at idle
2. switch to spot view, engine sounds like its at idle AND about 50%
3. advance power and engine sounds normal again at all power ranges
4. switch views to VC and back to external and the sound problem returns.

any ideas?

anyone else notice this?

SP1 is installed and made a nice improvement to frame rates... it was doing it occasionally before SP1 though too.

I had similar issues even with ATC becoming unintelligeble at times. Knock your sound hardware acceleration down a notch, cured my problems.
