In case you haven't checked it lately, he's putting up some pretty nice tweaks, especially for all of you who complain of stutters... ;)

The explanations in the blog are becoming very informative and helpful.  I also found this site to be enormously helpful. Indeed it has enabled me to make a real breakthrough and finally SP1 is running well.  Not perfectly, but so much better than I have ever made it.

I am now running fps - unlimited,  autogen 1100/1100 (At last it dawned on me that trees and buildings can be the same),  Scenery and Autogen sliders both at VDense or max-ed, TBM 30, FFTF at 0.15 (yes), and because I have a fast card with a lot of on-board RAM, Bufferpool of 12000000.

I am sure that now that I have reported this, the perverse witch ridden program will fall apart again.  But I am holding my breath.  So its worth a look.  NickN may not approve.

Some of those are really strange, especially that "TBM at 80"-tweak.

No other value except 320 ever worked for me.

As you can see Bjorn, I've got TBM down below 40,  and FSX has never been so good.

Kudos to you.

I get blurries with 40 and less and a little less blurries with 320.

Have you set the texturemaxload (value is something like 8, I'm not talking about the texture_max_load which defines the maximum texture size)  as well ?

Nah.

I've run the ugly test this afternoon. Settings all to lowest, slowly rose them, blurries persisted - even without any traffic and autogen.

Bad programming, Aces.

Ark... and of course, I suppose that you have a multi-core proc, so that you cannot play with the FFTF anymore, right...
That's not good...
Something that just came back to my mind: does anybody here still sets his fsx.exe to prio high in the task manager ? Is there any effect on the blurries ?

Good catch, Daube. Will test that.

And the Texmaxload.
