Missing Landmarks in NYC.

Postby barrymb » Wed Jun 06, 2007 7:28 pm

Hi
When flying around Manhatten all appears ok, except I don't have any bridges, Statue Of liberty, Yankee stadium, or the Empire State. In general FS 2004 seems to run a whole lot better.
   Any suggestion?
When I load FSX i always get a scenery message "Scenery .CFG File error. Invalid Remote scenery path in Area 105. Click Ok to continue.
This started to appear after I purchase and loaded TIGER MOTH.  Everthing else seams to run ok.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

the tiger moth comes with scenery does it?

anyway, if u think the tmoth did that, then u may want to reinstall FSX, but before you do that:

Make sure your scenery complexity settings are at max, otherwise some or no landmarks will be shown.

FS Water Configurator+ has new modifications in the works, plus DirectX 10, Service Pack
1, and Radeon HD 3+ Series support.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Scenery is at the Max.  Overall I am disappointed with FSX. Overall 2004 ran and looked better. Got fsx because i just got anew computer. Thought the new FS would be out of this world. it's not in my opinion.
If I reinstall FSX to i loose the addons?
        Thanks  again

Hi again
Thnaks for the picture. I get Liberty Island, but no Statue and the skyline is not as dense.  I have using FS since 1998.  I just spent an hour trying different setting and no luck.
As I mentioned, afer purchasing and load TIGER MOTH, I get the following message each time I run FSX. Not saying its from them.

Screnery .CFG File error. Invalid remote scenery path in area 105. Click OK to continue

I wonder whay scenery path 105 is. i emailed them for suggestions.
  Thanks again
