Just wondering what you guys think.  An issue I have got irritated with, as it is not as hard as creating beautiful graphics and one of the areas I thought would be improved greatly.

*I* think that while the flight sim ATC adds to the *solo* flying experience, the immersion is enhanced by the online ATC, such as VATSIM, etc.

If you consider the Flight SIm ATC as "training"  then it's faults, be them as they are, are lessened.

Does no one else get irritated with the way it tells you to turn one way then tells you to turn straight back the other way as soon as you've turned a little.  And the default ten or so voices, can't remember how many.  They, to be honest could have made it a bit better, my opinion.  And they still don't tell you how fast to fly...  Would just be nice if you could fly into africa or australia and the controllers didn't have american accents, no offense to americans, just be a way to internationalise it a bit more.  I love the new sim tho, much beter than the rest.  Just wish I could run it on full settings!  Struggling with like a quarter on, while all traffic switched off.

I really enjoy my FS 2004 chats with Air Traffic Control during my Solo flights, especially in conjunction with FS Navigator....

ATIS give me all the necessary information regarding the Airfield I am aiming for, and FS Nav shows me all the radio frequencies to dial in on my Radio Stack, and the ILS landing information if available, etc...!

...and "Flight Following" keeps me safe, and out of trouble... :o...!!

It's both fun, and educational... :)...!

I just wish that REAL Air Traffic Controllers spoke as clearly....LOL... ;D...!!

Paul..."Pardon, ATC....Would you mind repeating your last transmission...SLOWLY!..."... :-[...!!

lol

Don't have internet at home so haven't been able to try the ATC with people online.  Must be cool though.  Cant wait to make my own cash and buy a beast to fly on  8-)  Then I'll be chuffed.

I have had bad bad experiences with online ATC unless they were friends I knew that ran it. It is great when you have the time and a good atc but many times you just want to kill the ATC.
