Who was the marketting genius who decided that FsX should only run well on next generation computers? So people don't buy it now, instead in 5 years they buy it off ebay for $2? So no one buys it when it originally comes out? So there is huge amounts of hardware issues? So people go back to previous Flight Simulators? So people send hate mail to redmond? Nick was right.... Fire them all.

The thruth is that you can already fly it NOW on today's computers (I do it on my 2 years old computer) and you will be able to fly it even better on tomorrow's computers.

You should add:
If you have a Microsoft engineer at your disposal or want to spend HOURS on end tweaking. I have gotten fsX to also run great (after 20 hours of tweaking, or 1/3rd my time alltogether), however the bad performance is still unacceptable.
Likes: too many to name. It's a bloody great program. It will be even better when the sim community is really supporting it.
Dislikes:
-Virtual cockpits. Why, oh why can't I see my f**kin' instruments!!?? Why can't I see the f**kin' runway!!?? Virtual cockpits are great if you really like the look of the panel and cockpit of the aircraft you're flying- but after lots of trying I find that they generally fail to be a practical way to fly. I miss being able to 'raise the seat' (by pressing Shift Enter), so I could fly/land without having to switch screens!
-No multiple user! FSX is the first sim title that has my wife flying also. She's working through the beginner missions and I'm working through the more advanced. But we can't tell who completed or won what. It seems allowing multiple 'player accounts' would have been an easy thing to build in. There must be many cases where multiple people are sharing the same copy of FSX on the same PC. Missions are such a key selling point of FSX that it seems absurd that they didn't think to allow multiple people to enjoy them.

Already thought of getting TrackIR?
