Can't Uninstall FSX

I am trying to do a clean reinstall because my FSX no longer will run without errors but when I try to uninstall I get Internal Error 2330. 1117. And then Error: -1602 Fatal error during installation. FSX is really starting to annoy me. Any suggestions for a solution?

I have been in the same place you are in now, I hope you have better luck than I did. I wound up reinstalling Windows XP and lost everything on my hard drive. Take my advice and contact Microsoft on this issue and maybe you will have better luck than I did

If you're running XP, try this for your uninstall:

Go to My Documents and delete the Flight Simulator X Files folder

Go to Program Files\Microsoft Games and delete the Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder

Go to Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs and remove Microsoft Flight Simulator X if it's still there

Clean up your hard drive and de-frag

I've found that you can't always depend on the software's (not just FSX) uninstall function to do the job...sometimes you have to add a manual touch to get it done.

I just went thru the same experience. After doing all that were suggested, go to search and make sure you have nothing that has FSX including Flight Planner files. Then download and run the Windows Installaer Cleanup Utility (kb2903010) and follow instructions. Just in case you receive an error 1722, download and run the Software Licensing  System Reset (kb928080) and follow instructions. When completed, reboot your PC and install FSX. It worked for me.
