I am not sure if FSX is SLI playible yet!
If it is, I think you should buy it and enjoy. ;D
If not, hold off and wait for a FSX Patch. ;)

Here is a 2 min video I recorded using FRAPS.

http://djtaso.com/fsx/fsxksea.wmv

This is to show you my autogen and blurry-free textures with my latest config settings. This is stock FSX scenery at KSEA.

Note:

I had reduce water to 1.x to compensate for my FPS loss due to running FRAPS. FRAPS eats about 4 - 5 FPS while recording so what you see, add +4 - 6 FPS than I'm actually getting in the video.

Sorry if it's low quality. I tried compressing it the best I can to keep it at the best quality. I used windows movie maker. If there are better programs out there please let me know.

Very nice. You cant be dissapointed with that. It rendered that with fraps running, which is hog in itself, It certainly looks like you are dialed in.

It looks like you may be on the default landclass.

Did the Cloud9 LC not work?

Sorry I haven't gotten to that yet. I'm still testing other areas with my new settings.

I will get to it soon  :)

The reason I could tell you were not using it was because the autogen had houses where office buildings should along with other industrial structures that are missing, and visa-versa

I just tried the LC scenery. Looks very interesting. I like the detail but I also like the default FSX detail as well so it's almost a toss up between these two. I've only tested it on KSEA so far so I have to explore it some more.

But I did notice some blurryness. I'm assuming I have to reconfig my config file? Also, I remember miltest mentioning about the 1m slider when you have 3rd party scenery added?

The terrain slider should never be set to 1m. He was talking about going from 19m to 10m if you install 10m terrain mesh. LC is not mesh. It just tells the sim what kind of ground you are flying over. (farm, office, industrial, graveyard, golfcourse, etc)

The sliders stay the same 19m terrain

Chicago looked great! I like the industrial buildings than default one's.

I'm still exploring it.

Thats the idea of the LC. You get a better representation of areas you know. Its never perfect but add-ons like FSG mesh for accurate elevations and  Ultimate terrain take it a step further and define the exact position of roads, side roads, streams, railroads, shorelines, etc. Once that is all in place it just requires a good add-on like Ground Environemnt to cover everything with better defined and accurate textures for the class. Before you know it, between the higher res mesh, terrain LC and the textures, the sim really starts to resemble your home town from the air.

With DX10 there is an entire new world possible.. 35mm quality world

I hear UT is having trouble with traffic on roads. I hope they screw that one up or decide to make the roads baron, or too crowded, eliminating user control. They did a great job on FS9 to the point you could fly VFR following the roads and get to your destination. With cars on roads it will make some problems for them I'm sure.

gotta run

Well I found out why my boots were taking so long. I found it by process of elimination. I disconnected the IDE & power cable from my DVD ROM and my system fired up immedietely. I then plugged them back in to make sure that it was my DVD and what do you know? The slow boots were back. I've been having problems with it for years and I think it's finally starting to crap out on me.
