NOW... we are cooking

Next.,

enter the BIOS and raise the vcore to 1.475

Set
NEW FSB 1333
NEW MEMORY 667

IF that will not boot,

Set

NEW FSB 1320
NEW MEMORY 667

IF that wont boot

Set

NEW FSB 1300
NEW MEMORY 650

IF that wont boot

Set

NEW FSB 1280
NEW MEMORY 640

IF that wont boot

Set

NEW FSB 1260
NEW MEMORY 630

One of them should if none of the above boot, set it back to

1233
616

Post the CPU and memory tabs when you get back into Windows along with a temp reading

Its taking a while so I assume there may be limited or no success. If that is the case then the power supply may not be able to run the overclock or the memory sticks need to be loosened up in timing

The 570 chipset is not a good memory clocker and on top of that, the motherboard you have is known for voltage regulation problems.
The best we may be able to achieve is the stock speed @ 1:1 with the CPU running the memory timing as it currently is.

If you are unable to run anything other than

1233
616

We will raise the memory CAS and other timings and try the same list I posted above again.

In the event you were not able to boot at any of the settings I provide above, do the following

Leave vcore at 1.475

Enter the BIOS and change:

MEMORY TIMINGS: MANUAL

T (CAS): 5
T (RCD): 5
T (RP) : 5
T (RAS) 15
T(RC): 19

ADDRESSING MODE: 1 Clock

Then repeat the settings above starting with

1333
667

and work your way down the list

System hang.

I tried it at 1333/667 and it booted me to safe mode. I then tried it at 1320/667 and I had a complete crash. Couldn't even get into Bios. I had to do a CMOS reset. I tried going back to the settings before I attempted 1333/667 but it kept hanging as well. I am now in default settings.

I also noticed when I went to change Vcore in Bios, the number 1.45 was highlited in red which wasn't good I bet. I raised it to 1.475 and thats when my system hanged.

I am currently in default bios settings.

OK.. its alright, the red is just the BIOS warnings

The reason why I went down from top values instead of up from lower values is because I read that motherboard has a crash free BIOS.

That is one thing ASUS has always been a bit lax on is their overclock BIOS recovery

The BIOS will show the 1.45 and above in the red. We may need to boost the CPU TERM VOLTAGE to 1.35

I think we should get it set back to where we know it is working and go the opposite direction, up the list instead of down. Eventually you will not be able to boot and at that point we will raise the memory timing and see if it will continue.

This is a process and it take some time and patience to find the sweet spot.

We managed to get your system running 1:1 now with the CPU at the correct speed for the memory and the FSB

That in itself will go a long way.

I dont want to rush this.. even after we find the boot spot, we still have to stress test a bit to make sure it is stable

Good

OK... we will try raising it one more time tonight and if it works, then try a bit of stress testing with a flight

NEW FSB: 1260

NEW MEM SPEED: 630

Post the CPUz windows if that is succesful

If it does not work, set it back to 1233 and 616.. you need not post the CPUz report

Going through memory timing changes tonight may get a bit drawn out on time. I would rather find out how stable the system is first anyway.

OK?

:)

Hmmmm.. If you can go up to another variable which is below 1.45, yes... if 1.45 is the next number, leave it where it is.

The suspense is killing me!

It's acting like mine did before you had me upgrade the memory and the power supply... you cussed my tower up and down that first night   ;D ;D ;D

Ok

We have hit a wall then. Most likely in the memory timing 4-4-4-12 1T which means it may even be unstable at 1233/616

I assume its set back up with the settings and 1233/616?

If so, lets try a test but before we do I want to set Windows so it will blue screen instead of reboot the computer.. typing the instructions up now
