Hi simmers and more

I managed to get FSX. It took quite a bit of time to get it installed.  :-/ Well, I don't know if it is my system or the discs fault. I had to eject the discs several times for the installation to continue. That out of the way, then I tried to fly. Got the dreaded blue screen. Rebooted the system, then it was fine.

I took off from Friday Harbour with a small plane. All was well until I reached a place where cars were crossing over from an island to the mainland driving through the sea.  ::) Wow, I didn't know cars could do that. That same plane I tried to land at CAZ5, I think. Man the turbulance in that area is truly the baddest thing I have come across so far in my simming time. No weather was enabled by the way. I was struggling so much that I didn't pay attention to my speed and then my aircraft got overstressed and I had to start my trip over.  :'(

Another thing that I noticed whilst fiddling with it is when I bank to the left or right being outside the plane. I get these nasty jitter effects that makes me want to not bank at all. This is only present when I am flying propellered planes.

The scenery and most of all the other things seems to be working great. The trees and buildings in some areas are better than other places. I am just wondering if this is not a way to get us to buy more products?  >:(

My machine is slow compared to some of the real simmers machines. Although, I am happy just to tinker with it for now.

Crotius: welcome to FSX.  You are where we were six months ago.  A life of tweaking is ahead of you.   I am not going to try to do what so many excellent contributors have done on this forum:  but you should read the FAQs, the FSX and SLI thread and others to see what has to be done to make the game run smoothly.  If you have an old, or low end system, then you would need to run FSX with very little detail, if your machine is reasonably fast, then the game can be made to run quite well.  But read the threads, and then post the details of your setup - CPU speed, video card, motherboard, RAM, and some of the excellent people on this forum with great computer skills I am sure will help.

Thanks for the reply. I know that I would have to get more RAM. FX5500 is just not coping with all of the detail. Is there anyone out there that can sponsor me with a better card ?  ::) My settings are very low. I was just pointing out that it is very heavy on resources.

Some of the settings are way too sensitive.

I just like to moan, that is me.

hey when your in the program file for fsx youll see applications for the older games my computers running very slow

(78 mb free, cant restore data since i need atleast 200 mb getting a 320gb external harddrive in 2 weeks)

can someone run one and tell me what happens
