I saw your thread and did not have the heart to tell you that the visual fixes in SP1 would only be the very, very bad stuff.

The majority of update was targeted at performace and upgrading multithread use

They did rework several of the default aircraft for performance but it was to change the way the aircraft caused perf issues, especially since they made up about 50% of the default AI traffic. I do not think the 747, 737 and the lear were in that fix.

I think the way they look at it is after SP1 is released all the developers will be completing and releasing their upgrades for traffic, ground textures, scenery, etc.

Don't completely write off an interm patch for some issues between now and DX10 time. It is very possible they may throw a bit of time into a patch for the small stuff which may include a few tweaks to the SP1 release.

:'( :'( :'(

I've heard that there's a way BY editing an XML somewhere I have no idea something to fix the windows in the airbus and the 737 , is it in some Gauge because according from what I saw ,there is a Light map wich contains the windows and part of the fuse iluminated,Why doesn't work?

Nick, Do you have any idea of this?

EDIT: see what I mean ,there it is a perfect Lightmap in the texture folder a dds dtx1, from the 737-800

I sure don't know Alrot. I have not been working with FSX for some weeks now and thought I would look into problems like that after SP1 and a few traffic replacements for FSX get posted. .. and I get back from a trip in which I will be away from home for over a month

First, I hope that number has left for Alaska.  We look forward to you coming back from uo North with a bunch of fisherman's yarns to keep us amused.  I have used one of those madeover add-on AI programs which is less than satisfactory complete with legless planes, lights and strobes that encircle the aircraft and the like.  Its virtue is that it is much less demanding than the default AI so the sliders can be moved.  However it is unnerving in that all aircraft are black and only pop out in full livery when one gets close.  I will certainly be in the market for a made for FSX AI add-on.  Your title for this post reads like an epitaph Nick, and I hope that's not true.  Look forward to your advice when you return and SP1 is on every forum.
