OK... this is the day I should have stayed away from the sim and the forum.,, But I think I got it straight now  :-[

Alrot is right (again)..  there is no default right seat for the Lear..so that "hole"  IS  missing polygons.

As for the lights.. I see what he's pointing out. The pax windows and the logo lights aren't working for the 737 and for the Airbus. They're working fine on the 747, so I'll assume it's not my graphics card.

It'll be interesting to see if these things are picked up in SP1.. There were a few things I noticed too, regarding the Nav radios in some jets (channel changing, I believe).

I knew which lights you meant alrot, had already tried mine.  But the landing light switches are another problem.  Park up in the dark and switch them on (they go off), switch them off (they come on), thats a known fault and it can be fixed in the overhead_popup.xml within the Panel zip file, then it gets recompiled by a special program from MS.  What I`m trying to say is this could be a similar problem with the logo lights and the passenger window lights.  The switches aren`t reversed like the landing lights but it could be some other fault in there or somewhere else that causes it.

If you try the two landing light switches you`ll see what I mean, they`re reversed, off is on and on is off.....lol.

Got curious and started checking...results on my system as follows:

Default FSX Airbus: No interior lights in outside views no matter how lights are activated. Editing aircraft cfg file didn't solve it.

Default FSX Lear45: Minimal spoiler activation. Editing aircraft cfg file didn't solve it.

Default FSX 737: Some lights are backward. Didn't try editing the aircraft cfg file.

Thanks Nigel..

Indeed this have to be known by the people its making the pach or SP1 that will be release by the last week of the month , we spend most of the time inside and outside of these planes ,This bugs from my point of view are very easy to fix ,maybe these mistaken were caused by a hurry at the last moment..

a question: you meant no interior lights from the exterior view...right?

EDIT: I took a shot I didn't saw any problem in the cockpit view from the exterior ,eventhough the passenger windows are not iluminated as I said before

Hi Alrot,

I get the same problem with the default LearJet for the spoilers.
I do not know for the lights of the 737, I never tested it and I don't have my PC currently to test right now :/

Correct Arlot...no interior lights from the exterior view. Also, someone in another group posted that the default Airbus Auto Brake controls don't work...I haven't had a chance to verify yet. I hope the information you're collecting will be usefull and won't be concidered just complaining or "slamming" FSX...if developers don't know there's a problem then how will they know there might be a "fix" needed? We should try and help these people out now and then with their great efforts for us!

Before anyone else gets confused about the missin polygons, let me clearify that.

The reason that most default cockpits are missing polygons in certain areas where you don't normally see while sitting in the main pilot seat is so that the computer won't have to process those polygons; thus, saving some resources for that one extra frame per second.

Besides, I do that too for some of the addons I made [look under the dashboard on at least two of my cars]. Heck, because of the popularity of the Recorder Module and other tools that provide excellent angles from the outside, I have even decided to elliminate the idea of a full-model DVC [as in having a whole model of the vehicle even in VC mode] for the sake of keeping both the file size down making it easier for Makemdl to export faster [my export process takes about 10 minutes to finish].

Do you now get the point?
