I was going to say something about that too.. But I'm no hardware expert and didn't want to step on advice-toes. Maybe you should ask this in the hardware section of this forum. I've been told that for bandwidth concerns; some boards need perfectly symetrical RAM installations... ie.   not one 1GB and two 512mb sticks. It will work, but it's slower than 1gb total, installed symetrically (like 512 in slot one, and 512 in slot three (not in slots one & two)....

I really don't know for sure, but guys like Congo, Nick and CTJoyce in the hardware forum are true experts. I've watched and followed their advice and have yet to see them steer anyone wrong..

My suggestions:
First and foremost...read the manual that came with your MB regarding memory. If you don't have a manual, go online to the manufacturer's site and get info there. Reasearch what memory is recommended for and compatible with your system.

What works for my PC:
My MB accepts up to 4gig of memory and has 4 memory slots. I have 3gig of memory installed with no memory problems on my system. I read my MB manual and did on-line research to find what type, not brand, of memory was compatible with my MB. I have 4 memory modules installed: 2 of one brand and 2 of another...all 4 memory modules are of the same specifications recommended for my MB. My memory modules are installed as follows:
Slot 1: 1gig module
Slot 2: 512mb module
Slot 3: 1gig module
Slot 4: 512 mb module

The new fsx wouldn't be complete without a few MIke Stone planes you can find the link on my site http://home.comcast.net/~aaafsxschool/home.htm
He is an expert at building addons for FS and these try to install themselves. TIP download them to you desktop.  The plane is inside the floder that is downloaded, so if you zip to the simobjects/aircraft folder they wont work. if you have any ?'s email me from my page.  http://home.comcast.net/~aaafsxschool/home.htm

1) Mike Stone has retired
2) you are looking at being banned by posted outside links in three diffent threads. You need to post it in the "other links" section
